Chapel on the Grounds exists on Sunday Mornings. Everyone is welcomed to join us at 10:30am each week at Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp.

SUNDAY, MAY 18th 

JEFF LAIRD - EOND ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT 

Jeff comes to the EOND District Office from Stouffville, Ontario. He grew up in Scarborough and, as a pre-teen, moved north to the Uxbridge-Stouffville area.

 

After Jeff’s graduation from EPBC in 1991, he married his wife Helen, and they have been serving in full time ministry for over 30 years. Jeff began ministry at Stouffville Pentecostal Church as Youth Pastor in 1991. In 1999, the Lairds moved to Ottawa where Jeff served as Worship Pastor at Woodvale Pentecostal Church, followed by Glad Tidings Burlington as Assistant Pastor from 2006 to 2009.

 

The Laird family returned to Stouffville Pentecostal Church in 2009, where Jeff has served as Lead Pastor for the last 13 years. They oversaw the construction of a new church building in 2018, and Jeff has served as Presbyter of the York Toronto North Section for the past five years.

 

Jeff and Helen have 3 grown sons and 2 daughters in law. They love cheering for all the Toronto sports teams and, as musicians, enjoy leading worship together as a family.

 

Jeff has a desire to see believers of all ages activated into service through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. An important life verse for him is Romans 8:14 “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.”

SUNDAY, MAY 25th

JUSTINE STRATTON - HEALING PLACE, OSHAWA

Justine grew up attending LPC, spending all her summers here, and is now a proud leaseholder. Every year, she looks forward to bringing her three kids to the "Greatest Place on Earth"!

 

She is excited to share on May 25th for Pray for Camp Day, as camp played a pivotal role in her own life and she believes it will have the same impact on many others this summer!

Justine has been in pastoral ministry for 13 years and has served at Healing Place in Oshawa for the past 4.

ROB GOOD - PROMISE CHURCH, BRADFORD

"I’m passionate about church and how the church engages today’s modern culture in a meaningful and transformative way. My life mission is to nationally make disciples of Jesus, and I will do that however God allows me. I am a husband and a father, and my family is amazing. They are an active part in the church, and we love to spend our free time traveling and exploring the world together."

SUNDAY, JUNE 8th

PETER JARUCZIK - GRACE CHURCH, OSHAWA

Peter was born and raised in at Grace Church (formerly Ukrainian Pentecostal Church) in Oshawa, Ontario. He always had a love and passion for Jesus and the Church. He has worked in the church in his youth as a singer / guitar player on the worship team before becoming the youth leader of the church.

In 2000 Peter and Elena got married. They have five children: four sons Andrew, Benjamin, Alex, Joseph and their daughter princess Larissa. In January 2022 Peter was appointed Senior Pastor of Grace Church, following in the footsteps of his father Jacobo the previous Pastor of the church.

SUNDAY, JUNE 15th 

JAMES SKINNER - EKKO WORSHIP ALLIANCE

Born in Zambia to PAOC missionaries, James Skinner has dedicated much of his life to serving the local church, spending the majority of his ministry with Watoto Church in Uganda. He served on the Executive Leadership Team at Watoto, overseeing the global offices of Watoto Child Care Ministries. During his time at Watoto, James pursued his passion for creative worship by establishing the Watoto Recording Studio and the Watoto Worship Academy.

In 2021, James moved with his family to Choluteca, Honduras, where his wife Stephanie is from. He is passionate about the cause of the orphan, and is especially committed to strengthening the local church, worldwide, through worship arts education and discipleship. In 2021 James co-founded Ekko Worship Alliance, a Ministry based in Colorado, through which young Christian leaders in Honduras and Uganda are being equipped to serve their local churches with skill and integrity. James loves songwriting, music production, and analog synthesizers.

Married to Stephanie since 2010, James and his wife have two sons, Levi and Cohen. He currently divides his time between Cobourg, Canada, and Choluteca, Honduras.

SUNDAY, JUNE 22nd

GARY SKINNER

Gary Skinner is the visionary and passionate Founder of Watoto. In 1984, during a time of civil war, together with his wife Marilyn, he planted this local church in Kampala, Uganda to speak hope and life to the nation. Gary passionately believes that it is the responsibility of the local church to solve community problems. Watoto Church cares for community holistically through over 3,000 small groups that meet weekly.In 1994, he founded Watoto Child Care Ministries in response to the cry of millions of children who had been orphaned or left vulnerable as a result of war, poverty and disease. Thousands of orphans have been placed in families and vulnerable women have been empowered to reach their own families and communities. In over 40 years, the challenges facing Uganda have changed, but the vision remains the same. Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community. In February 2023 Gary and Marilyn handed over the leadership of Watoto to their successors, Julius and. Vernita Rwotlonyo. Their desire now is to serve the Church at large Gary and Marilyn are the proud parents of three children and grandparents to seven.

NICK ROMAIN - CALIBRATE JR HIGH WEEKEND

The EOND youth department is hosting Calibrate this weekend. Calibrate Camp Experience is designed to help youth ministries go deeper in their discipleship journey. Over a powerful long weekend, students will encounter God through intentional ministry moments, dynamic biblical teaching, engaging devotions, thrilling competitions, and creative elements that bring faith to life.

The doors are open to everyone this Sunday, while Nick Romain from Hope City in Edmonton shares the word.

SUNDAY, JULY 13th

GINETTE HOWSE

"The eldest of three children, I was born and raised in a French Canadian family in Montreal, Quebec, along with two brothers. After college I practised for nine years as a Registered Nurse in Montreal and New Westminster, BC. In 1979 I was born again as a Christian and received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit a few months later.


In 1985 I graduated from Bible College and accepted a position as Children's Pastor, on the staff of Agincourt Pentecostal Church in Scarborough, Ontario. There I was ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada in 1995. In 1996, following a three-month Chaplaincy course at Scarborough Grace Hospital, I joined the staff of Malvern Christian Assembly, where I served as Lead Pastor for 16 years until retirement in November 2021.


Digby and I were married in 1980 and we have two children, and six grandkids."

SUNDAY, JULY 20th

JASON LUSCOMBE - EOND SUPERINTENDENT 

Jason graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in 1998 and began his ministry at Southside Worship Centre (Ajax, Ontario) as the Assistant Pastor in 1999. After five years, Jason became the Lead Pastor of Southside, where he then served for 12 more years. In addition, Jason served on the board of Shepherd Village as a designate of EOND for four years and served on the district executive for four years as a presbyter of the Lakeshore section.

Jason was elected as the district superintendent of the Eastern Ontario and Nunavut District in July 2022. Previously he served as the assistant to the superintendent for ministry for five years, and as the district missions representative.

Jason, his wife Colleen and their two sons reside in Whitby, Ontario.

The Luscombe's desire to see the Body of Christ awakened to the work and the person of the Holy Spirit. They want to help a new generation of Pentecostal leaders see and hear the work of the Lord. Their life's prayer is Habakkuk 3:2 "Lord I have heard of your fame, I stand in awe of your deeds. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known. In wrath remember mercy".

SUNDAY, JULY 27th

DARCY AND LEANNE MCALLISTER - MISSIONS GLOBAL

Darcy and Leanne focus on developing leaders across Canada and around the world. Their passion is for Christians to actively engage with God’s purposes from a place of health and wholeness. Darcy and Leanne use speaking, coaching, mentoring, marriage ministry, seminars and team building to accomplish this! They have just finished being based in Asia for the last 5 years serving with PAOC’s Mission Global, responding to the significant need and request for help from national partners across Asia.  Darcy has recently accepted the role of the Director of Development and Communications with Mission Global and Leanne leads ZOE Network which focuses on activating women and men into God’s mission at home and beyond. 
 
Darcy and Leanne both have their MA in Leadership and are Certified Leadership Coaches.  Their home church is Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly. They have three married children (Nicholas, Robyn, and Ben) and the whole family is engaged in ministry.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 3rd

DANNY GRAY 

Danny Gray has served on staff at Parkwood Gospel Church in Windsor Ontario since 2008, first as Youth Pastor, then as Young Adults & Missions Pastor, before being elected as Lead Pastor in 2018. He has also served in the Western Ontario District as the Windsor Section Pastor since 2022. Danny's passion is to lead a church of disciples who make disciples with a vision to help people find hope in Jesus and home in His family. With that in mind and a vision to be a lighthouse in the community, a new church campus was planted in Windsor's downtown core in 2023, Parkwood’s 100th year. On a personal note, Danny loves the Packers, iced capps, his wife, Natalie, and their two beautiful children, Norah and Beau, who make sure life is never dull.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 24th

MATT LITOW

Matt was a Pastor at Nova Church in Halifax Nova Scotia, until recently stepping out in faith with his wife Emily and moving to Ontario to lay the groundwork for a new church launching in 2025.  He is a father of three boys Leo (8) and Elis (5) and Josiah (3) and has been married to Emily for 12 years. Matt is passionate about his family, discipleship to Jesus, teaching the bible, seeing people come alive in their God-given identity and calling, and building the local church.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 31st

CHUCK PRICE - REAPERS IN THE RAIN

Coupled with a big heart and a desire to help people, Chuck Price is passionate to see peoples’ lives changed. He is an encourager and exhorter with a great sense of humor. Chuck is real, relevant, and has the unique ability to connect with every age group.

His background as a youth educator and program director in the inner-city housing projects, along with his extensive involvement in camps for the underprivileged, has been a great foundation for who he is today. After twenty-four years of pastoring in both Canada and the US, Chuck founded the non-profit organization, Reapers in the Rain. He travels the world sharing his faith, training leaders, building infrastructure and providing humanitarian aid.
